| The title of this videoinstallation, refers to a card in the Tarot deck, that is called " The Prince of Cups".
The cups are connected to the water element, and they represent feelings, the unconcsious, and artwork as well. The little prince is standing in his pool at the shore, while the man and the little girls are filling it up from the sea. Is this just cosy, or are there some unpleasant feelings underneath? I videotaped an event that really happened at my sons three years birthday, and made the artpiece from it afterwards. The video is projected in the very same pool, with reflections from the water at the wall behind it. A submarine is going around the pool. |
